MUFFLER (CAT CT0054359)

A damaged muffler can allow exhaust noise to increase beyond acceptable levels. The muffler reduces sound from the exhaust system by using internal chambers to dampen pressure pulses. A cracked muffler may cause exhaust fumes to leak into the operator area, creating a safety hazard. This aftermarket replacement part references CAT as the OE maker and carries the cross-reference number CT0054359. During operation, a muffler that has rusted through can fail to contain exhaust gases properly. Verify the serial number or application, then call (562) 693-7748. The muffler is a generic exhaust component that helps direct gases away from the equipment.
