Aftermarket cylinder head nut (AC12113-73201) for forklift engines, supplied as a replacement for the original equipment manufacturer fastener. Cylinder head nuts clamp the head down against the gasket and block deck and are subjected to repeated thermal cycling for the life of the engine. Bought by forklift engine rebuilders and service technicians performing head gasket jobs, valve work, or full overhauls. Head fasteners on many engines are torque-to-yield and should be replaced rather than reused, since fasteners that have already stretched cannot reliably produce the clamping load needed to seal the head gasket against combustion pressure and coolant.
