This 1/16 inch by 7/8 inch zinc-plated cotter pin secures castle nuts, clevises, and pivot pins against rotation or pull-out on forklift linkages and steering components. Mechanics replace cotter pins at every disassembly because reused pins lose their spring temper after bending and may not retain the joint under operating vibration. Stocking sized cotters in a tray prevents shortcuts. Sold as an aftermarket replacement, contact us to verify diameter, length, and material before ordering, since cotter pins in similar nominal sizes can have different wire gauges, and undersized cotter wire fails to retain the joint under vibration.
