This 1/8-27 NPT grease fitting threads into a chassis, mast, or steering joint to provide a grease gun coupling for routine lubrication. Service techs replace these when the ball check fails, the hex rounds off, or the threaded body cracks from over-torque. Carrying a sized assortment lets PM techs swap broken zerks on the fly without delaying the route.
